10 Day Tour from Munich to Munich

2017 Tour Details

This Central Europe tour is a magnificent journey through the former Habsburg Empire. Your tour starts and ends in Munich. Along the way, you will overnight in some of Central Europe's most exciting cities: Prague, Budapest, Vienna, and Salzburg.

You will enjoy guided sightseeing of the must-see sights with a Local Guide in Prague, and visit the 1000-year-old Hradčany Castle grounds, the largest castle complex in the world, and the Astronomical Clock, built in 1410 and once the envy of all Europe; in Budapest, enjoy a panoramic view of the city from Fishermen's Bastion and visit 13th-century Matthias Coronation Church, the coronation spot of several Hungarian monarchs; and in Vienna, where, among the many sights you will see, you’ll visit St. Stephen's Cathedral, a symbol of Vienna. In Salzburg, your walking tour includes beautiful Mirabell Gardens.

Spectacular scenery also awaits you on this Central Europe vacation. You'll drive through the lovely Salzkammergut Lakeland to picturesque Salzburg. Additionally, you'll enjoy a leisurely Danube cruise (departure 1202 Christmas markets instead of Danube cruise) along the most scenic section of the river. During your cruise, enjoy Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake). This special experience—along with a visit to the famous Hofbräuhaus (Munich’s best known beer hall dating back to 1589) followed by a farewell dinner at the lively Ratskeller restaurant—is included by Globus to ensure your vacation is unique.

From the vibrant cities and historical sights to the special experiences, this Central Europe tour is sure to delight all of your senses. Let Globus handle the details while you sit back, relax, and enjoy this amazing experience!

Escorting tours for more than 15 years

There are few places on Earth touched by so much history. From the Romans and the Hun invaders to the horrors of fascism and communism, Eastern Europe has seen it all. Here, you can see the scars of history on the countries and buildings. You can bear witness to the effects on the people living here, the same people who survived it all and still had the strength for peaceful revolution. Eastern Europe is a fascinating region, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
