Israel and Jordan are treasure troves of historical and biblical sights, and on this Israel and Jordan tour, you’ll visit their most famous and interesting sights. You’ll visit many of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Baha’i Shrine, the world center of Baha’i faith; Acre, a historic walled port-city where you’ll see the immense underground Crusader City; Masada, a rugged cliff-top fortress; and Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World®, where you’ll walk down the Siq, a narrow gorge with spectacular colors flanked on either side by high cliffs. Here, see the iconic and famed Treasury and sip tea in a Bedouin tent.

Also visit many of the sights associated with Jesus, including Cana, site of the first miracle; Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered his Sermon on the Mount; Capernaum, where Jesus recruited his first followers among the fishermen; the Garden of Gethsemane with its Rock of Agony, where Jesus prayed his last prayer before his arrest; the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, erected over the site of the crucifixion; the house of Caiaphas, where Jesus was kept the night after his arrest; and the Church of the Nativity, which stands on the site where Jesus was born.

Globus has also arranged some out-of-the-ordinary and fun experiences for you on this Israel and Jordan tour, such as a cruise on the Sea of Galilee. You’ll travel to the Dead Sea, where Globus has arranged for you to experience the water’s buoyancy and receive a salt scrub gift. You’ll also take a 4-wheel drive to the desert of Wadi Rum, virtually untouched by humanity with its incredible rocky landscape and centuries-old paintings spread on the rocky outcrops.

These are just some of the many highlights and many sights you’ll visit on this once-in-a-lifetime Israel and Jordan vacation!

Spectacular Light Show and Middle Eastern Dinner

Spectacular Light Show and Middle Eastern Dinner

Join us for an unforgettable night out: hear the story of Jerusalem at a spectacular light show at the Tower of David, followed by a delicious Middle Eastern dinner. The Tower of David is an ancient citadel, near the Jaffa Gate, entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. Built to strengthen a strategically weak point in the Old City's defenses, during the second century BCE, it was subsequently destroyed and rebuilt by, Christian, Muslim, Mamluk, and Ottoman conquerors of Jerusalem. It contains important archeological finds dating back 2,700 years. When the sun sets and dusk embraces the ancient stones, the walls of the Citadel serve as the backdrop for an evening performance in sight and sound. Amidst the archaeological remains in the Citadel's courtyard and to the sound of original music, the story of Jerusalem unfolds through giant, breathtaking, virtual reality images. The Night Spectacular uses "trompe l'oeil" technology, the stones of the walls and structures fade into the scenes and the screened images envelop the viewers and whisk them off to a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory experience. Finish the evening perfectly with dinner at a Middle Eastern oriented restaurant in the city.

Excursion to Little Petra

Excursion to Little Petra

Enjoy a guided excursion to Little Petra or Al Beidha. Only a few miles from Petra, it was once a commercial area and on the trade route to the north and northwest. After passing the narrow cleft in the rock that forms its entrance too narrow for laden camels to passim opens into three natural courtyards. Admire the façades and cisterns, interspersed with steps, some of which lead to holy places on the summits. One of the rooms is unique for its early 1st-century AD frescoed ceiling.
