Cuba by Land & Sea (YC)

10 Day Tour from Miami to Miami

2017 Tour Details

Shrouded in mystery for the last 50 years, you now have the rare opportunity to visit the captivating country of Cuba. Globus’ people-to-people program allows you to experience Cuba unlike any other destination. On this Cuba travel program and cruise aboard the Celestyal Crystal you will interact with fishermen, musicians, antique car owners, baseball players, and more. Vacation highlights include the colonial city of Cienfuegos—the “Pearl of the South,” impressive Santiago de Cuba, and the bustling capital city of Havana. Other interactions include meeting children at a daycare center and the nuns who run the center; visiting the studio of artist José Fuster, known as the “Picasso of the Caribbean;” enjoying a performance by the Cienfuegos Orchestra and then discussing their training and future aspirations; an interactive walk through Old Havana; and engaging with staff at an organic farm. Your 7-night cruise also includes time spent cruising the Caribbean Sea and a full day in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This incredible Cuba program and cruise will leave you with fond memories for a lifetime.

  • Due to the special requirements to visit Cuba, participants will be required to complete and sign a travel affidavit/visa application form confirming that they are traveling under a people-to-people license and will participate in a full-time schedule of educational exchange activities. Participants are also required to send a color copy of their passport valid photo page (passports must be valid 6 months from the last date of travel). These items must be sent to Globus within 7 days of making a reservation.
  • In Cuba, activities that have been scheduled far in advance can sometimes become unavailable for a number of different reasons. The purpose of the trip is to have meaningful interactions with the locals and if the planned people-to-people educational exchange isn’t available, rest assured that another will be substituted that will be just as enriching.
  • The cruise itinerary is provided by Celestyal Cruises and is up to date at time of printing. Your travel documents will contain the most current information.
