Excursion to Agia Anna Beach in Kalafati and Ano Mera with Lunch Today drive to the beautiful Agia Anna Beach in Kalafati, located in the southeast part of the island. This area of the island is a change of pace from the cosmopolitan bustle of Mykonos Town. It is the only beach on the southern side of Mykonos that is sheltered from the winds, so sit back and relax on your sunbed for a couple of hours and admire the view of the crystal clear blue-green water. Later, visit Ano Mera, the second largest village on the island and the most populated village on the island. You will have time to explore the several scattered settlements with the Cloister in the centre and the Panagia Tourliani Monastery (15th century AC) named after the dome (tourlos in the Mykonian dialect) of the church, which is also the name of an Icon of Virgin Mary. This Icon is believed to be blessed or miraculous, as most people say in Greece, and many go there to pray. Later enjoy a light lunch in the main square with traditional homemade Greek food.
