DAY 1Arrive in Seattle

Welcome to Seattle! At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

DAY 2Seattle–Leavenworth–Spokane

Depart Seattle and stop in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth. Perhaps stroll the streets and sample the local fare. Later, arrive in Spokane, whose name was drawn from a Native American tribe. Why not enjoy a walk along the banks of the Spokane River or ride the Gondola Skyride over some of the area’s waterfalls? Tonight, enjoy dinner at the Steam Plant Restaurant, a renovated historic landmark in the heart of downtown. (Breakfast, Dinner)

SPECIAL FEATURE: Your hotel this evening is the historic Davenport Hotel. Opened in 1914, this was the first hotel in the United States to have air-conditioning. Today, the Davenport continues its tradition of elegance, luxury, and contemporary comforts.

DAY 3Spokane–Sandpoint–Whitefish

Start the day with a sightseeing tour of Spokane, including Riverfront Park and Spokane Falls. Also visit Manito Park Gardens, with time to wander the beautiful Rose Hill Garden, Japanese Garden, and Duncan Garden. Then, travel along scenic Priest River and cross into Idaho. Stop in picturesque Sandpoint, Idaho, where there’s time to browse the boutiques and galleries. Continue to Whitefish, Montana, just outside Glacier National Park, where you have a 3-night stay. DAY 4Whitefish. Explore Glacier National Park

A full day devoted to exploring the wonders of GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. Board the famous vintage RED JAMMER buses that take you along one of North America’s most spectacular highways: Going-to-the-Sun Road. After crossing 6,664-foot-high Logan Pass, enter a geographical wonderland of alpine scenery, where jagged mountain peaks, deep-green forests, pristine lakes, and meadows dominate the landscape. Arrive at Lake McDonald and enjoy a scenic CRUISE on a historic wooden boat. Take in your majestic surroundings as the captain shares with you local history and folklore. This evening, enjoy a Globus Local FavoriteGlobus Local Favorite hayride, cowboy sing-along, and an old-fashioned BBQ at a local ranch. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 5Whitefish

This morning, visit the CONRAD MANSION, a beautifully preserved pre-1900 mansion. A guided tour will explore the historic elegance of a bygone area as you hear the Conrad family history. Then, enjoy a GONDOLA ride to the top of Whitefish Mountain. Bring your camera for fantastic views and photo opportunities. The rest of the day is free for you to explore on your own. You may want to play a round of golf, browse the town’s art galleries and boutiques, or just relax at your resort. (Breakfast)

DAY 6Whitefish–Wallace–Coeur D’alene

Depart Whitefish and travel along the spectacular shores of Flathead Lake. Stop in Wallace, Idaho, and tour the SIERRA SILVER MINE, where you’ll travel underground with an experienced miner and learn the history of mining in this region. Also visit the Globus Local FavoriteGlobus Local Favorite OASIS BORDELLO MUSEUM, a former brothel that was still in business as recently as 1988. The final occupants left in a hurry, leaving belongings in the rooms, as if they planned to return. It’s a unique reminder into Wallace’s colorful past. A short drive brings us to the beautiful shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene, formed millions of years ago by the glaciers of the Ice Age. Today the region offers all forms of outdoor activities, including boating, skiing, biking, hiking, and more. (Breakfast)

DAY 7Coeur d’Alene–Lewiston. Hells Canyon Cruise

Today brings an exciting cruise into HELLS CANYON, home to North America’s deepest river gorge. Hugging the borders of Oregon and Idaho, Hells Canyon is more than 200,000 acres of high mountain peaks, ominous canyon rim-rocks, and breathtaking vistas. Traveling up the Snake River, see ancient petroglyphs left by the Nez Perce Indians and enjoy your captain’s folklore tales. Watch for birds and wildlife, including deer and bighorn sheep. We’ll stop for a BBQ lunch along the river, where there is time to enjoy more of the magnificent surroundings. (Breakfast, Lunch)

DAY 8Lewiston–Washington Wine Country

This morning, visit the NEZ PERCE NATIONAL HISTORIC PARK and learn about the people who have called this home since the beginning of time. Crossing into Washington State, the second-largest premium producer of U.S. wines, we’ll travel along the Snake River on the same route as Lewis & Clark. Visit the historic PATAHA FLOUR MILL and meet the family that works the mill, hear the history of this wheat-growing area, and sample some homemade goodies. Arrive in the heart of Washington’s wine country and visit a local Globus Local FavoriteGlobus Local Favorite WINERY for a tour and tasting. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 9Washington Wine Country–Mount Rainier National Park–Seattle

This morning includes a visit to MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of its 14,000-foot peak. Late this afternoon, arrive back in the “Emerald City” of Seattle. This evening, toast to new friends as you admire fabulous waterfront views at a festive farewell dinner hosted by your Tour Director. (Breakfast, Dinner)
