Arctic Circle Air Adventure Fly above the Arctic! This thrilling tour allows a guest to experience the Brooks Range, cross the Arctic Circle and fly the wilderness airways of Alaska's Arctic. Glacier and Wildlife Flightseeing Explore Knik Glacier and Wildlife Tour on this 1.5 hour flightseeing tour. Departing from the world's busiest seaplane base, you'll fly over the expansive Knik Glacier rimmed with spectacular hanging glaciers. Dog Mushing Girdwood Dog sled mushing is a unique Alaskan way to traverse the snowy landscape. Moose Meadows is the setting for your adventure along the Iditarod National Historic Trail in the Chugach Mountains of Girdwood/Alyeska. Meet the harnessed dog team and musher in the natural snowy meadow. The unique double stanchion sled allows you to stand and drive the dog team while learning commands like: gee, haw and whoa. Mush a short loop with opportunities to swap sled positions, take photographs and ask the musher specific questions. These husky sled dogs are ready for adventure; step on the runners for yours! Snowshoe with a Guide Travel back in time to Historic Crow Creek Gold mine for snowshoeing along the Iditarod National Historic Trail to a destination in the Chugach Mountains. Local guides give you first-hand information along the way and teach snowshoeing techniques.
