A Taste of London A unique chance to combine a traditional London pub experience with a relaxed, night-time river cruise, viewing some of the capital's most beautiful illuminated sights. Enjoy a three-course dinner with several local menu choices, including fish and chips and steak and ale pie at an historic London pub in the City of London. Following dinner you will enjoy scenic views from the comfort of your private cruiser. Highlights include Tower Bridge, St. Paul's and the Houses of Parliament, with commentary from your guide as you cruise along the River Thames.

Afternoon Excursion to Windsor Castle Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. One of the official residences of Queen Elizabeth II the castle is still used regularly for ceremonial and state occasions. Visit the magnificent State Apartments furnished with priceless works of art by Holbein, Rembrandt, Rubens and Van Dyck. See wonderful St.George's Chapel the burial place of ten monarchs including Henry VIII and Charles I.

This excursion is not recommended for guests with mobility problems or wheelchair users. Private coach pick-up from the first hotel is at about 12:15pm and at about 1:00pm at the last hotel so you can expect to be at the venue for about 2:00pm.

Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen. During August and September when the Queen makes her annual visit to Scotland, the Palace's state rooms are open to visitors. These are the heart of the Palace, lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection which are used for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. Before entry to the Palace you will visit the Royal Mews, one of the finest working stables still in existence. See the State vehicles, both horse-drawn carriages and cars, used for coronations, royal weddings and State Visits, including the magnificent Gold State Coach which has been used for every coronation since 1821 and was last used for The Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002.

Tower of London and Crown Jewels The Tower of London is one of the most famous historic buildings in the world. Built by William the Conqueror in 1066-1067, it has been guarded by Yeoman Warders (popularly known as the Beefeaters) since the 14th century. It has been a fortress, a royal palace, a prison, a place of execution, and an armory. It is most famously known as the home to the priceless Crown Jewels, including the solid gold crown used at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the Imperial State Crown and Sovereigns Sceptre, the incredible Cullinan diamonds, and the Koh-i-Noor.

This excursion is not suitable for guests with mobility problems or wheelchair users due to cobbles and stone steps. Private coach pick-up from the first hotel is at about 12:45pm, pick-up from the last hotel at about 1:30pm and you can expect to arrive at the venue at about 2:00pm.

Castle of Fontainebleau & Vaux Le Vicomte Visit the historic Castle of Fontainebleau, lavishly built and furnished in the Renaissance style, and a favorite hunting residence of French kings. An audio-guided tour inside the castle is followed by free time in the gardens. Travel through the forest and pass by the village of Barbizon, famous since the 19th century, thanks to artists such as Millet, Rousseau, and Stevenson. Continue on to the Castle of Vaux le Vicomte, Nicolas Fouquet's masterpiece and a great source of inspiration for Louis XIV's Palace of Versailles. Enjoy an included lunch in the park followed by an audio-guided tour of the main rooms of the chateau. End the day with free time to stroll through the gardens and visit the Horse-Driven Carriage Museum before heading back to Paris.

Claude Monet's Giverny & Museum of Impressionism Drive along the Seine Valley to the home of Claude Monet, leader of the Impressionist movement. Visit the house, the former studio, and stroll through the garden, a famous source of inspiration for many celebrated artists. Also visit the beautiful new Musee des Impressionisms nearby. Approximately 80 kilometers west of Paris, Claude Monet purchased his home in Giverny in 1890, and built his studio and waterlily pond. His famous works include The Picnic, and themed series such as Rouen Cathedral, Haystacks, Poplar, Japanese Bridge, and the River Thames. Monet donated his beloved Water Lilies paintings to his country and they are housed today in the Orangerie in Paris.

This excursion includes walking, standing, and a long bus ride of approximately 1.5 hours each way (driving time is included in the duration). Commentary is largely given on the coach and includes history, the roots of Impressionism, and Monet's life. Visits of the house, studio, garden and museum are at your own pace. Note: No original paintings are featured, only copies. Water lilies flowering is only on display in June. This excursion is operated by an experienced driver-guide in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Pick-up and drop off at the overnight hotel included.

Claude Monet's Giverny & Palace Of Versailles Travel to Claude Monet's Giverny with a guided visit of the wonderful gardens. Free time on your own to visit the famous artist's home and studio as well as the new Musee des Impressionisms Giverny (entrance ticket to museum included). Enjoy an included lunch at Moulin de Fourges, located a few minutes away from Giverny, with its country-like charm, relaxing atmosphere and typical regional cuisine. Later visit the lavish 17th century Palace of Versailles built by the Sun King Louis XIV. An audio-guided visit of the Palace's State Apartments and Hall of Mirrors is included. Free time to explore the elegant gardens.

D-Day: Normandy & Landing Beaches This full-day minibus excursion includes a visit to Pointe du Hoc, known for the WWII assault by heroic Rangers, and the American Cemetery in Colleville, where immaculately kept rows of white crosses and Stars of David commemorate the Americans who died. Also see Omaha Beach, the code name for one of the main landing points for the Allied invasion of German-occupied France on June 6 1944. After an included lunch (drinks included) in the village of Crepon, see the ruins of Arrommanches' artificial harbor, built by the Allies in 15 days, and watch The Price of Freedom at the Arromanches 360 Cinema. Stop at Juno Beach for a guided visit and explore the remains of the Atlantic Wall before returning to Paris. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the US Government shutdown the visit to the cemetery will be replaced by a visit to the D-day Arromanches Museum until further notice.

Discovery Of Champagne See the vineyards of the Champagne region as you travel by minibus along the country roads to the historic village of Hautvillers, the birthplace of champagne. Visit the cellar of a local wine grower and sample the vineyards' champagne. Discover the world-famous Moet & Chandon cellars, where you can also enjoy a glass of champagne. Stop in Reims for a short visit of the cathedral, a gothic masterpiece where the kings of France came to be crowned. A traditional Champagne region lunch with drinks is included.

Eiffel Tower Dinner and Seine Cruise A global icon of France and the tallest structure in Paris, the Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 and named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel. Take the elevator up to the first floor of the "Iron Lady" where you will enjoy a tasty three-course dinner, including drinks, at Restaurant "Le 58 Tour Eiffel". Later relax and admire illuminated Paris while cruising along the Seine River.

Loire Castles and Lunch Visit the 11th-century gothic (with renaissance additions) Amboise Castle, a favorite of French kings and where Henry II and his wife, Catherine de' Medici, raised their children. Also see nearby Clos Luce, which is connected to Amboise Castle by an underground passage, where as a guest of the king, Leonardo da Vinci came in 1515 to live and work until his death in 1519. Visit renaissance Chenonceau Castle, built over the River Cher and a gift from Henry II to his mistress, Diane de Poitiers. After his death, Queen Catherine took over this castle as her own favorite residence. Enjoy an included lunch with drinks and stop to view and photograph the largest castle in the Loire Valley, Chambord Castle.

Mont St. Michel Including Lunch Enjoy the landscapes of the Normandy region on a guided excursion to 11th-century Mont Saint Michel Abbey, located on a rocky island in an immense bay with the highest tides in Europe. The first small church was built and consecrated here in 709 at the request of the Archangel Michel to the Bishop of Avranches. During the Middle Ages, it became a great spiritual and intellectual center, and was one of the most important places of pilgrimage for nearly one thousand years. People traveled to the abbey by roads called "paths to paradise," hoping for the assurance of eternity. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant that faces the island and time to stroll around the village.

Normandy motorway to reach the Mont Saint Michel bay. Stop at 12:00PM for lunch at Restaurant Relais St Michel (modern, refined decor with an excellent view of the Mont-Saint-Michel monument).Then, ascension to the monument (by the ramparts or by the village) as far as the Abbey is located on the top. The guided visit covers the interior of the Abbey. Free time then for a walk in the village. Departure from Mont St Michel around 4.30PM. Return to Paris around 9.45 PM. The Somme Battlefields - First World War Discover the area which was home to some of the most terrible battles of the Great War. Learn the history of the Battle of the Somme where, during a 4-month period in 1916, approximately three million soldiers were involved in the fighting and some 1,200,000 were killed, wounded or missing in action. See the villages of Villers-Bretonneux, P233ronne, with a guided visit of the Historical Museum, Thiepval with its great Memorial to the missing and Beaumont-Hamel. All locations where the battles took place. Also included, a tasty lunch at a typical restaurant in the village of Peronne.
