DAY 1Arrive in San Francisco

Welcome to the Golden State! At 6:30 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

DAY 2San Francisco

Morning sightseeing includes Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks, Fisherman’s Wharf, and much more. Afterward, sit back and relax as you enjoy a CRUISE across San Francisco Bay. Tonight, you may want to venture back to Fisherman’s Wharf for dinner at one of the area’s famous restaurants. (Breakfast)

DAY 3San Francisco–Sonoma County

This morning, cross the famous Golden Gate Bridge and visit the pristine waterfront community of Sausalito. Free time to explore this quaint Mediterranean-style village’s shops, galleries, and breathtaking views. Continue to Sonoma County to visit CLINE CELLARS in the Carneros region to tour their vineyards and taste some of the best Rhône-style wines and Zinfandels in California. A short drive brings you to the OLIVE PRESS to learn how some of the best extra-virgin olive oil is produced from the first cold-crushing of the freshest olives. No visit is complete without sampling several olive oils and a vinegar, too. This evening you are treated to a special dinner at a local restaurant specializing in contemporary California cuisine featuring farm-driven seasonal ingredients. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 4Napa & Sonoma Counties

Start your day with a visit to V. SATTUI WINERY in St. Helena, the heart of Napa Valley, for a guided tour of the vineyards, production facilities, barrel room, and cellar followed by a tasting. Next, drive to the town of Calistoga with time for lunch and to stroll the streets that retain their charm of yesteryear. This afternoon, learn how famous champagne-maker MUMM creates its California sparkling wine in the traditional French method at MUMM NAPA. Sample a glass of their bubbly to toast a great day! Tonight, head to Sonoma Square for the local Farmer’s Market, where you can sample many different types of artisanal and fresh foods from the nearby communities. (Breakfast)

DAY 5Napa & Sonoma Counties

Today is yours to do as you please. Train lovers may choose to take a relaxing train journey on board the Napa Valley Wine Train through the lush Napa Valley. On board, relive the days of elegant rail travel while enjoying a sumptuous 3-course lunch. Alternatively, you can visit nearby wineries, play a round of golf, or relax at the spa. (Breakfast)

DAY 6Napa & Sonoma Counties

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a wine vintner? Today is your chance as you attend a Zinfandel WINE-BLENDING SEMINAR at Ravenswood Winery. Be creative and craft your own vintage! The bottle will be corked and ready for transport home to share your masterpiece with your friends. Next, visit California’s oldest premium winery, BUENA VISTA, founded in 1857. A tour and tasting here features Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Syrah—the Carneros Quartet! These extraordinary wines express the essence of the Carneros wine region. This evening your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at Wine Spectator’s GREYSTONE RESTAURANT, located at the Culinary Institute of America. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 7Sonoma–San Francisco

Head to San Francisco International Airport this morning for guests with homebound flights. Please schedule flights after Noon. The motorcoach continues downtown, where the vacation ends. (Breakfast)
