The next two nights are in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island, Maine’s oldest summer resort. Visit Acadia National Park, one of America’s most visited national parks. Then board a catamaran ferry from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth in Canada. Stop at the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg, one of the continent’s major fishing ports; continue to Peggy’s Cove, a charming fishing village with a famous lighthouse perched on a massive granite ledge, and Halifax, where you tour the city.
