"Exceptional Service in Italy"
For the past 20 years a group of four of us nurses took a trip to the beach for some R&R and fun. We thought it sounded like fun to go to Italy and we found the Globus Web site and settled on the “Italian Mosaic” 14-day tour. By the time we started making reservations, we were up to 18 people. All I can say is that we were more than pleased with the trip.
Our Tour Director was wonderful, as was our driver. They were always busy behind the scenes making sure that everything ran smoothly for us and that we were in the right place at the right time to see everything we wanted to see. Accommodations were great, and we were always given plenty of free time to wander on our own. We even had the added bonus of seeing the Pope up close!
The entire group got along great and we forged friendships that I hope will last for years to come. This was my first Globus trip but I’m sure it won’t be my last. It would be hard to surpass the exceptional service they provide, and I have no need to look for another tour company.

"The Beginning of a Great Adventure"
had always wanted to go to Europe. By chance, I walked into a travel agent’s office and told her the type of trip I wanted. She gave me a Globus tour book. Eleven days later I was on my way. It was truly an adventure. I went to seven countries—England, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France—and met some extraordinary people along the way. Allow me to tell you how extraordinary. I met my friend, Lyn. She was living in Long Beach, California, and by sheer chance ended up taking the same tour.
In the past 11 years, Lyn and I have taken several Globus tours, from Alaska to Europe to Russia to Japan and many points in between. I have many hours of video, and one of the sounds you hear throughout is the voice of our Tour Director. Whether it’s riding the McKinley Explorer in Alaska or walking up the Acropolis in Athens or standing on the Ginza in Tokyo, their knowledge and ability to inform, keep you enthused, and handle every problem or question is unequaled. When I walked into that travel agent’s office that day, I had no idea the kind of adventure I was beginning. It continues to this day and beyond.

"No Hassles in the National Parks"
Our family recently enjoyed a trip to national parks of the northwestern United States on a Globus bus tour. It was our first family trip using a guided tour. We visited Temple Square and were able to tour the grounds and see the tabernacle where the Mormon Tabernacle Choir performs.
In Jackson, WY, our group climbed on a tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. A beautiful vista at 11,000 feet, we saw marmots, chipmunks, and bluebirds. We also had time for a quick snowball fight—in July!
Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area we visited. She kept us on schedule—not a small task with more than 40 people. The driver and hotel staffs loaded the luggage on the bus and delivered it to our room each day. With no navigating, fuel stops, or suitcases to worry about, we were able to truly enjoy our vacation experience. It was a wonderful, educational trip.

"A Breathtaking Surprise in South America"
I asked my husband where he would go if he could go anywhere in the world, and his answer was Machu Picchu. I certainly didn’t see myself enjoying my hard-earned vacation traipsing up a mountain, but I did some research, and within a week or two, presented him with a Globus trip to South America.
We had the opportunity to travel and renew friendships with three people we had met two years earlier on a Globus trip to Australia and New Zealand.
Buenos Aires is indeed the “Paris of South America,” with incredibly wide boulevards, outdoor cafes, cosmopolitan cuisine, and incomparable shopping. Our hotel was located amid the high energy of downtown and afforded us a great view of all that was happening around us. In Rio de Janeiro, our hotel overlooked the beach, and we had spectacular views of the ocean and mountains from our balcony.
No trip to Argentina would be complete, of course, without experiencing the tango, which we did one evening when we took in dinner and a show. The beauty and sensuality of the dance left us breathless.

"A Special Escape to Hawaii"
Our Globus tour began on the island of Oahu where we stayed three nights in Honolulu, and then moved to the Big Island for three nights and ended with two nights in Maui.
In Oahu, one day was topped off with a spectacular night show featuring a cast of 100 dancers dressed in authentic attire and representing six island cultures. The show included fire-knife dancers, fire walkers, and other unforgettable performances.
On Hawaii’s Big Island, we visited Kona Coffee Living History Farm, which gives visitors the opportunity to experience the life of the pioneers who first established the coffee industry in Hawaii. Our bus took us down to the crater floor. We walked through a natural lava cave and enjoyed the rainforest that’s existed since before the first man came to the island. At Pun lulu Beach, we watched as a giant sea turtle made his way across the black sand to return to the sea. Whale-watching in Lahaina, our photos show whales almost touching the boat. It was an exceptional experience.
Our food throughout the trip was delicious and beautifully presented. On the Big Island, each evening after dark the manta rays swam up to the rocks in front of the hotel for added entertainment. The accommodations were indeed special.

"Discovering Heaven Down Under"
On our Globus trip to Australia and New Zealand, we met up with our Tour Director and the other 27 people who were traveling with. Our Tour Director was terrific—organized, knowledgeable, and possessing a wonderful, dry sense of humor. In Melbourne we had lunch on a converted 1927 tram car as it wended its way through the streets of the city—good food, entertaining service, and unlimited champagne, wine, and beer—an unbeatable combination! We traveled along the magnificent “Great Ocean Road,” taking in some of the most breathtaking scenery we’ve ever witnessed.
We spent an entire day snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. I had never gone snorkeling before, and the sea life in and around the reef was just incredible. I was in awe and didn’t want to get out of the water. It was pure heaven!
The following morning, just after sunrise, we joined several of our fellow travelers for a 30-minute flight in a hot air balloon—an extraordinary experience! At one point we looked down and saw what appeared to be hundreds of tiny mice scampering across the fields. It wasn’t until we started to make our descent that we realized we weren’t watching mice at all, but herds of wild kangaroos!
